Clinical Specialties

Dr. David Bernhardt specializes in primary care sports medicine. He is board certified in pediatrics and fellowship trained in sports medicine. He is a team physician for the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department. In this role, he provides medical coverage for Badger men’s basketball, mens’ and womens’ cross country and track, as well as women’s volleyball, crew, and lightweight crew. His special interests include the pediatric and adolescent athlete, medical problems in athletes and musculoskeletal problems related to running.


Research Interests

Dr. Bernhardt's research interests include Insulin Resistance and Health Risks in Overweight athletes.
