Education
- Postdoctoral Fellow, NIH, Bethesda, MD, 2004-2008
- Visiting Research Fellow, NIST, Gaithersburg, MD, 2003-2005
- PhD, Cell and Tissue Engineering, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA, 2004
- MS, Biomedical Engineering, Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, 1999
Research Interests
Dr. Li is interested in the research of musculoskeletal tissue regeneration using the stem cell-based tissue engineering approach. Specifically, his research focuses on how to effectively differentiate stem cells into desired connective tissue-specific lineages and promote the cellular construct to develop into mature, functional musculoskeletal tissues such as bone, cartilage, and tendon/ligament.
