Clinical Specialties

Dr. Illgen is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. He specializes in adult reconstructive surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder.


Research Interests

Dr. Illgen has clinical and basic science research interests in the molecular biology of osteolysis, osteonecrosis, fracture healing, and bone ingrowth into porous-coated joint implants.
