Application Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in the UW Department of Orthopedic Surgery. We hope this information will answer most of your questions about our program. Should you have further questions, we invite you to contact Leigh Larson, Residency Program Coordinator, at (608) 263-0888 by emailing larsonl@orthorehab.wisc.edu.

To be considered for the program, please make sure the following materials reach our offices by October 31, 2007 through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service):

  1. Residency application;
  2. 3 to 4 letters of recommendation;
  3. Medical school transcript;
  4. USMLE Scores; and
  5. Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE, aka Dean's letter).

Our selection committee will review all application files. We will inform you by email via ERAS of their decision regarding an interview. If you should move, it is important that you send us written notice of your change of address or telephone number.

The 07-08 interview dates will be:

Monday, December 3, 2007
Thursday, December 13, 2007
Thursday, January 10, 2008
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
