Why I am a Physical Therapist, and Why I Advise for Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy has been a wonderful career choice, and my current positions allows me to have the best of two worlds: academia and clinical practice. I love meeting and talking with a variety of people interested in possibly becoming Physical Therapists. Being part of the PT Program at UW-Madison is a continual learning opportunity, keeping me up to date on current practice and research developments. I also work two days a week at the William S. Middleton Veterans Hospital as a Geriatric Clinical Specialist. Practicing as part of a interdisciplinary team, which includes older adults and often their caregivers, is always rewarding and challenging.

I have been a physical therapist for 25+ years and have been on the faculty for the past seven years. I received both my physical therapy and advanced masters degrees from the UW-Madison. I know the profession, the Program, and the campus well! I’d love to talk with you - please email, call, or schedule an appointment to meet in person.
