Why do you want to become a PT?

I like a holistic approach that physical therapy profession has to helping people and, most importantly, teaching patients how to help themselves.

Why did you choose UW-Madison?

I picked UW-Madison because it’s in a great location, has the most beautiful campus, and is affiliated with medical school. Also, I’ve heard a lot of great things about the program.

What aspect of PT school surprised you?

The thing that came as a complete surprise to me was that the workload is just shy of unbearable but it is all definitely worth the work.

What is the most challenging part of PT school?

I felt that the greatest challenge for me was learning that there are so many pathologies, diseases, and conditions that people might have and realizing that there are a lot of things we, as a profession, can do to help and even prevent many of them.

What is the best part about PT school?

The best part of the program is definitely its AWESOME FACULTY. All of the professors are super friendly and are always eager to help. They are definitely the best collection of teachers I have ever had.

What are your plans after you graduate?

It seems like graduation is still out of reach, but I still dream. I would like to go to Europe to see my friends and family and hopefully after that get a job and be the breadwinner for my husband while he goes to school.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy spending time with my husband and friends hanging out at home or exploring Wisconsin.
