Personal Interests

John Harting was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He received his PhD from Ohio State University (yes, a Buckeye!), has been the chair of the Anatomy Department for over 25 years and has taught Neuroscience to first year medical students for over 30 years. This is his second year teaching the OT-PT Neuroanatomy course. He enjoys all kinds of athletic endeavors, is a pilot and likes to read non-fiction. He is married to a gynecologist and has a son who is a fifth year senior at the University of Minnesota. He loves having a good time in class and enjoys everything about the brain and his students... especially calling on them in class!
