Meet a Physical Therapy Student

Physical therapy students come from diverse backgrounds. For example:

  • Although the majority of students come from within the state of Wisconsin, many are either from out-of-state or earned their undergraduate degrees from out-of-state institutions. Some are even international students.
  • Undergraduate majors of students vary. Examples include Kinesiology, Psychology, Biology, Genetics, Rehabilitation Psychology, and Spanish.
  • Many students are returning students, who had other careers prior to PT.
  • Some students are married, and some have children.
  • Students have different experiences with PT and different reasons for wanting to go into PT.
