James Leonard, DO

Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine,
Chair, Division of Rehabilitation Medicine,
Medical Director Occupational Medicine Section

Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Our faculty has a strong commitment to the residency, and are dedicated to continually upgrading the quality of the content of our academic and clinical programs.

As our Rehabilitation Division has grown, we have expanded the depth and scope of our faculty resources. Our ability to provide a superior learning experience is reflected in the structured program established by our Residency Director. The mentoring of the faculty will allow Residents to choose individual and group research projects, with the goal of having a submitted article or presentation at the completion of the project in mind.

While we have set high standards for our Residents, our faculty's role is one of providing an environment that will foster personal and professional growth during the training program. We will provide the stability needed for residents to expand their horizons as they prepare for a life-long learning experience in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

We strive to educate our Rehabilitation Medicine Residents while allowing them to participate in the vibrancy of Madison , the University of Wisconsin , and all that it has to offer. We take pride in seeing a resident graduate and progress in their career, and we look forward to talking with you about our program.

Sincerely,

James Leonard, DO
